A few tips here... take 'em or leave 'em. ;)
1. Stand close to your subject.
Why? Because your smartphone doesn't come with a professional mic.
So, if you're too far away, you're going to be uploading a video that no one can hear.
Not cool.
2. Have someone hold your smartphone for you.
Let them know ahead of time that they "have one job... to hold it steady and pay attention to what they're doing."
Because let's face it... there's nothing worse than teaching something, then viewing your footage only to realize that your camera person was randomly drifting off throughout.
3. There are 2 ways to hold a smartphone while you record video
One looks good on TeacherTube. One does not.
